Default Cooling fan plugged into receiver? Help

Hi I have an electric evader st from 2005 and want to attach a fan to cool the ESC.
I have a very basic 2 channel futaba radio. The receiver has a spare slot that says "Batt."
Can I plug a fan in there?
If I buy this fan and change the cable and plug for the receiver will it work?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEF0405MS-Br...item2a3108c74c

Thanks for any help!

Sorry missed ya post. But yes that will work...

And that red plug on the end of the fan will plun into the batt port with no modifications, just a little tight.

FYI, the ESC has abuilt in BEC, that sends power (6v) to the receiver to power the receiver and servos, by pluging a fan into the receiver its tapping into that power.

With my RC cars, I solder the fan wires directly onto the BEC output lugs on the ESC, that way there is no additional wires running to the receiver. And it's all neat and tidy

Thanks for the reply!
I ran the truck yesterday with the ESC laying flat on the chassis but I hadnt ordered the fan, after 4-5 minutes the heatsink almost burnt my finger! The motor was relatively cool. When it cuts out its only the motor, steering still works.
Maybe I should re-do the deans plugs attached to the ESC incase that is contributing to the heat.

The motor is warm, not really hot to touch at all.
I used this gear calculator: http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/gearwizard.cfm
and I get a Gearing quotient of 12.711 and a Rollout Ratio of 0.989

Isn't a rollout ratio above 0 for top speed and below 0 for acceleration? I ordered a pinion and spur that gets me down to 0.604

UPDATE: So I received this fan http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEF0405MS-Br...item2a3108c74c
After soldering it up to a receiver plug I tested it and it worked great in the Batt. slot.
So I stick some double sided tape onto the fan, then place it on the chassis and lightly press down to stick it and BAM, snapped like a twig. I was shocked, VERY little force was used. I contacted the seller and he will send a replacement which I will take baby care of.
