Default fairly new to the hobby, looking for something similar to traxxas link

ok, hoping some of you more experienced people can get me goin in the right direction.

ok,traxxas link, on the fly visual displays of whats goin on on the vehicles -------- i really like this idea, way too much money in way too small of a package to hurdle it across the dirt and not know whats goin on with it. i mean come on,takes how long between " oops i need to stop and let it cool down " to " dang, thats a $150.00 escape"

my issue with traxxas link is the whole "apple products only" approach, my fav part of this as a hobby is, dang, no ones made that part yet, wonder if i cant make it myself, or hey, idea, bet i can make this better.............. the flexibility.since been looking into this run across every thing from how to rewire a 2 channel controller to a 5 channel with a extra turn dial channel "was on a rock crawler, was pretty cool" to u name it, it basicly comes down to if you can think it, you can make it happen.

so i know i cant be the only one who has wondered this. so can it be done with anything besides a ipod, iphone, ipad. or is there another company out there offering same kind of set up? on the fly visual of whats going on?

Yes, there are many radios available that offer real-time telemetry. Spektrum, Airtronics, recently Futaba, KO. I know the Airtronics MT4 is a $249 setup and the information is displayed on the transmitter's display. I agree that the idea Traxxas has is interesting but, the fact that it's limited to Apple products disappoints. I would have liked to see them offer optional attachments which allow Android users to attach their device to the transmitter.

looking for a 4ch. the telemetry options mainly want is of course battery cause is a electric model. Temps is my next major want. motor and escape. live in the south so temps here can be high so keep n a eye on it is a full time deal some days. dang near every few mins, or run body less for air flow. which usually results in broke parts lol speed would be nice, but not a necessity, be nice for gear changing, ect though to keep track. have to be able to store at least 5 models, so dont end up with a bag full of transmitters. will have to do some research and see whats out there. any recommendations ? some of the names above have heard of but not dealt with personally.
