Hello all. I'm new to the site, was just wondering, if you have a standard receiver, and just want to use it as a power bank, can you run 12v to it, or will it melt? I want to put multiple lights on a crawler, and don't need the receiver to function at all other than being able to plug 2 servo packs in series to it, and use the remaining 7 plugs to power all the lights. Any thoughts?

Receivers operate at the voltage that the manufacturer specifies. If you put other voltage it will let out the magic smoke and quit working unless you catch all the smoke and pack it back in.

Run a separate battery for the lights.
