I have purchased the 29mhz (correct frequency use in Australia) FM HRS Black Titanium 3PK radio just recently .Dr.ArmoMaxx it's just like yours ,but I noticed in the pictures you posted that your wheel is a gun metal colour. The radio I bought has the same wheel but it is chrome in colour ?? What Gives ?? Maybe just slight differences , depending month of manufacture of radio. Does anyone know ?? Also being the international version (Megatech as opposed to the US Magnum version) it came with the alkaline AA battery tray and not the charger and NiCad battery unit. Guess it works in my favour as I can choose Nimh Batteries and charger with a higher capacity for the power hungry Digital HRS system.
So I don't feel not getting a charger and NiCads as a dis-advantage !
Very happy with Radio. I purchased it through Hong Kong on the online webstore "RC Mushroom". Also purchased seperately - 2 x S9451 servos, 16k Campac memory unit and Futaba 3PK vinyl case ,including shipping , all for $300(aus) less for what I would have paid locally in Australia.(What a Rip-Off) .
Received radio and parts in 4 Days . Now thats what I call Service !

ok i bought the Futaba S9350 = 100 bucks, with 140 oz of torque
and JR S8611 = 115 bucks, with 260 oz of torque
and Futaba S3151 it is 4.8 volt, but i think it would be good with 6 volt as well and it is cheap.
you guys think the JR servos are good?
i looked in the website, seems like they have even more line of digital servos than the futaba
they both have, metal gears, ball bearings, coreless motor, water dust proof
and JR S8611 = 115 bucks, with 260 oz of torque

Well.. buying a servo that is rated for 4.8 volts and NOT 6 volts has a good chance of blowing on you. No warranty either if running it out of speck. If your really wanted a cheap digital servo you should have gone with the hitec HS-5475BB http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=++&search3=Go
JR Servos are fine. I have a friend that only uses those. I only use futaba and hitec.. to each his own.
Hope everything goes well together for you.

You will burn up the 3151 on a 6 volt pack, it is rated at 4.8 for a reason bro, it can't hold up to the higher voltage. The 9351 is a great servo though and stupid fast for the price. You will be happy with it.

Keith I ordered mine yesterday, friend of mine have me a wicked deal, have either of you tried dropping the steering wheel to help with the top heavy part?

Before I do any real major changes, I will get my car working right again first. I need a new motor. Once my car is in working order again, then I will start playing with the radio settings and setup. I might drop the wheel at that time.

"Most servo manufacturers make their servos look better by advertising the torque and speed ratings at 6 volts or more. This makes the servos typically stronger and move faster. In the chart below, both ratings are listed (if available)."

I've also ordered a NEW 3PK for myself from rc-mushroom.com
I've also ordered some glow plugs and foamies cuz their so cheap there.
Can't wait to start using a 3pk again (had one last year and sold it).
How is everybody turning out with their 3PKs?

Just read the manual cover-to-cover three times then carry it around with you so I can ask you questions instead of you asking me questions.

Did you guys in the US order your 3PKs from RC-Mushroom.com?
If so, how much was shipping, and how long did it take to arrive?
I assume these are all Megatech versions; are any of you concerned about warranty issues?
I'm considering buying on-line from them (75mhz, PCM), but after reading Futaba's website, I am somewhat worried about that (in bold)...
From Futaba's website FAQs:
"Do you sell parts for my 3PK "Megatech" radio, I need a new battery tray for it and I can't find one anywhere?
No, the Megatech version of the 3PK is sold only overseas. While we can service these radios, we will not carry the transmitter battery tray.
Also please be aware that we do NOT do warranty repair on ANY Megatech version of this radio. For warranty work the radio will need to be sent back the country of purchase for warranty repair."

CADtech - That makes sense. Futaba is not an american company. The US portion of Futaba just imports and does service and warranty on Futaba products. Why would they warranty something not sold in the US, that makes sense to me.

Again, I just worry about trying to save a few bucks ordering from HongKong, but give up the ability to work through potential warranty problems within the states, vs. shipping out over-seas.
Dr.Armomaxx- how much was shipping to CA from HongKong?

Warranty is an issue. But with the price difference, literally having to ship it back for warranty is STILL cheaper than the local price. (especially for me here in Canada).
In fact, most of the local stores here carry Megatech cuz nobody is will to pay the $200-300 more for the US version.

WOHOO!.. using regular shipping my 3PK came in within 6 business days.
That and I got super cheap glow plugs and Ellegi Foam Tires.
Took the LD3 out for the first time with this radio last night. What a difference. So responsive. So easy to setup.
Best radio ever!
