Hey, I noticed on a used radio box that the xs3 is warranteed for 3yrs...I'm assuming this is for New Radios only??? Anyone know how this works...I'm sure you would have to show some proof of original purchase date.

I was looking at purchasing a use radio off of ebay but at the prices they go for (arround $190) I may as well go for new and get the full warranty.

My XS3 had a registration card with it that I filled out when I bought it for the warranty.

How do you like the radio and is there anything you don't like about it?? I'm going to get one real soon.

I had an XS3 before i got my R-1, and there wasn't anything i didn't like, in fact, i still have it, don't ask me why, i just do, but the XS3, must be one of the better radios i have had. I would suggest getting one and the price is fairly good to, we sell ours for $240, not bad considering what you get. I loved mine, i love my R-1 now.

One little FYI on the XS3... if you are like me and like to have spare batteries IN the battery holder, You can buy an 8-cell holder at Radio Shack for $1.99 versus the $8-something at Tower!

so the xs3 comes with a rechargible pack instead of a holder?

It comes with an 8-cell "AA" rack. I bought some 2300MaH NiMh "AA"s from Walmart, and carry a spare rack with me when I go running. I have a Futaba Ni-Cad pack that is simply sitting. I'm half-way thinking about selling it... it's been charged 3 times!

i have an xs3 and i love it. the channel swithcing is awsome . and for 240 you cant beat it. The 270 servo that it comes with is not that good but the 590 is a nice one. like 80+ oz of torqe i think it is. Get one tho i am sure you will love it. Have no had a problem yet
