Hello all does inyony know a company that makes a 50mhz pistol grip controler? I have my FCC licence to run controlers in this range but can only find stick style systems in the 50mhz range. I have found 40mhz systems for sale in europe, and Im curently looking into weither or not my licence will cover these also for use in the states. I am willing to import the comtroler if I have to , it will be cheaper than replaceing another gass car from a newb turning on his controler without haveing the Freq Pass and my car going 50+mph into another brick wall
Thanks

Thanks

I've been looking for the same type controller. Futaba, JR, and Airtronics said no-can-do. I guess you and I are in just about the same boat on that one. About the only other solution is await the Nomadio technology to hit the streets.

Thanks Dave,
I have now E-mailed some of the Europe companies since they have 40mhz systems to ask about setting a controler for the 50mhz area, now its just time to wait, or learn to use a dual stick style controller with my car.
Besides 50mhz is open for short DX right now inyhow and this my first spuratic E season, dont want to wast the band on a car LOL. 73's Steven KG6SOF

Hay Dave if you still watching this tread I found some good news. This is a little entry I found on Futubas Q&A pages
Q.---Can I use a ground radio like the 3PJS on 50MHz (Ham band, 6 meters)? I am a licensed HAM user.
A.---Yes. None of the ground radios are specifically distributed on ground frequencies; however, if you are using a modular radio such as the 3PJS which uses the TJ module, you can exchange the module with the TP or TK module (designed for the 8U and 9Z aircraft radios) on 50MHz. You will also have to purchase an R127DF or similar receiver on 50MHz. At this time no 3-channel car receivers are available on 50MHz.
Looks like its time to price some new gear
