I was thinking about getting a synthesized FM radio to use with my e-maxx, xxx-s, rustler, and evader....I work at a hobby shop so i could get any radio pretty cheap, like cost plus 5%. I was wondering what the pros and cons of doing this would be...any input would be appreciated.....

Pro's? Well, one controller to keep track of (unless you exceed model memory capacity), One set of batteries for a controller to worry about, You won't have to worry about someone having a situation where only one of you can run at a time...
Con's? Initial outlay of $$ for spare recievers, Remembering where you put that little plastic screwdriver to change RX freq's...
I'd say do it. I love my synthesized gear. (JR XS3) I wouldn't go back to crystal controlled unless I absolutely have to!

Well I also have a xs3 but just ordered a helios because I just dont like the looks of it and since I am an onroad guy those very large receivers never fit in the Rx boxes also I found its hard to find those Jr Rx and parts for it like an antenna, that by the way it just fell apart (the one of the) Tx.
Besides that its a good radio not a lot of functions but enough(more than enough to some), the ability to change the frequency did came in handy a few times. About having one radio for all your cars you can do that with every radio with a memory. You would still have to buy more Rx as well, the only benefit I see is not having to buy and change the crystals.
