Hi All, Hi Zip m8ty

I am looking to buy a Futaba 3PK I seem to need some advice as there are 3 models of this radio, FM, PCM and another I think it is HRS does this model only work with digital servos.

I was going to go for the PCM version is this the one I need.

The above is the link to this radio on Futaba Web site

Also does any one know any good Japan or far east web sites where I can purchase this radio. I was told to look at www.rcshopping.com but the web site is in chinese how can I see this in english any ideas or suggestions.

Any advice is good

That I know the hrs is mainly for digital servos because of its hi speed and with the pcm I believe you can use both but the good thing about the pcm its that it has very little chance of interference. and they are both FM

i just got the 3pk a couple of days ago....awesome radio!

if you get the hrs one...you have to use digital servos. it says in big bold letter in the manual and that it may cause fire...COOL! haha. rodrigo is correct about the pcm...you can use either digital or analog. pcm also has a built-in failsafe. which actually works great.

Thks for all the replys guys, I will go for the PCM version as I do not wamt to have to buy new servos, but from what I can gather I would be able to use digital servos with the PCM version anyway.

I just got my HRS versions last night...I hooked up 2 9451 digital servos...and one of them seems to be glitching really bad...I took the servo out away from everything and it seems to glitch very bad...any idea of whats wrong...I am thinming maybe a bad servo?

I was also told that PCM could not use digital servos? And does the HRS not have a fail safe?

e420x,
Who freaking told you that PCM couldn't use digital servos? Have you read the manual yet? Have you checked the connections, the voltage, and the radio settings? Mix? Is your servo properly adjusted? If it is not and you run digital servos in the HRS mode, it may burn out your servos faster since it is receiving the signal faster.

Just got it last night...I adjusted teh servos already, I have not played with the MIX...what would this do..the radio is on default settings...I only played with the trim settings, its weird...it will be fine ..then when I lightly touch the wheel on the 3pk...I start to glitch..
