Default charging a 6v battery pack with 4.8v

i have a 4.8v charger for a 6v reciever pack. my LHS who sold me the 2 reckons it'd be fine, however i'm not so sure. can u charge a 6v RX pack with 4.8v?

PS, i don't care much for explosions and fire within my home.

Try the battery forum for airplanes if nobody here knows. They have some brainiacs over there..
