Default New Radio Gear Reccomendations

I have a Hyper 7 with all the stock gear, im told that really i should upgrade servos and radio gaer. I reakon im gonna go for the KO 2343 / KO 2344 servos.

Does anyone have any reccomendations on a decent set of radio gear (ie Tx, Rx)

Ps. I live in the UK dont know if that will effect frequency choice

Well, I'll only speak to what I know, but I've
got the JR R-1, and it's incredible even for
1/10 on-road. It has a number of features
targeted at the 1/8-nitro crowd that I don't
use, but they'd probably be of great help,
especially the fully-programmable failsafe.

Go to the following link to get the manuals:

http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByC...odID=JRP3360**

You should also look into the Futaba 3PK,
Airtronics M8, and KO Helios, just because
those are the top radios from those manufacturers.

I think it's all personal preference based on what
fits in your hand comfortably. The R-1 is very light
and easy for me to hold. Also, it was available through
my local shop, so I know I can get support. Not to
be too preachy, but I'd reccomend going with a
brand your local shop sells (and buying from them),
just to help keep them in business, unless they're
complete d!nks.

Good luck in your search.

Mike

I just got the the servos you mentioned along with a helios, I had a bit of a practice run last weekend and was definatly going better than I did with my sanwa gemini 2 radio.

If your willing to import from hong kong you'll save a fortune on Ko stuff like I did

you can use uk 40mhz crystals with no problems, my sanwa gemini 2 that I had last was actually a 41mhz and I used uk 40mhz crystals in that.
