Default 3PM-TFS

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXHXP8**&P=0

This is the Futaba 75MHz 3PM-TFS Pistol Grip Computerized
3-Channel FM Synthesized Radio with the R133F Receiver.

When did Tower get this in stock!?!?
Are they really selling the Synthesized Tx w/out a Synth reciever?

Ya, I noticed that.
I have no idea why the scraped the 3PM-FS (the one with the synth receiver) and released the 3PM-TFS wich is only a synth transmitter.

I can guess at a few reasons
a. there was a probablem with the receiver and it had to be scrapped but they needed something to compete with the XS3 and MX3
b. they couldn't compete with the price of the MX3 and XS3 if they included a synth receiver (which doesn't make much sense IMHO)
c. wanted to wait for the synth 3PK to come out (which should be available any time soon now) so it wouldn't hurt their existing stock of 3pk sales

Dunno, I'm thinking of picking one up as a spair radio to my 3PK cuz I wouldn't mind a backup..
of course that won't work if I go with the Spektrum Module
