Default Rx battery pack?

I have a 2 channel futaba radio, the 2PC. Before i used BET for the reciever, but i am thinking about getting a gas model and want a good battery to go with it, already had enough radio problems. In the manual says the power req. are 4.8-8.4 Volts, and below that it says the current drain is 30mA. On tower there are too many choices. What mAh should i get?
Any help would be great, thanks
Joe

Does it really matter what the mAh is? as long as the voltage is the same?

Yes the MAH does matter. the more MAH you have the longer the battery will last. I buy my Rx batteries at WALMART 2500 NIMH AAs and make my own. Cheaper than buying a pre assembled pack.

Yes but you can only charge 4 cells at once. If you want to use 5 (6volt) then you have to assemble the pack together. I make my own 6volt packs and use a TEKIN 112c to charge all my batteries. You have to decide if you want 4.8 volt or 6 volt. Voltage will give you more power.
BEC has nothing to do with gas cars only electric. All a BEC receiver will do is reduce the power with a standard motor pack and allow you to not to use a separate receiver battery.
