Default Extremely new with radio equiptment and need some help

I need an FM transmitter for my revo, I was thinking about getting the airtronics MX-3 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXCHA8**&P=ML. I have no idea as to how to install it or anything. Would I just put the reciever in my revo and plug the servos in and be set? and can I use the existing servos? Sorry for asking stupid questions but I need someone to explain this stuff to me before I get in over my head with a 100 dollar radio.

You will only have to swap the receiver to get it to work. Pull the leads out of the traxxas receiver, plug them into the new receiver, test and see if it works.

alright, I got it and installed it. I had to sand off part of the servo plugs to make it work, but it does. One quick question, the on/off switch couldn't fit in my receiver box, so can I mount it outside with like double sided tape or velcro or something?

Sure, mount it wherever you want. Just make sure it's not going to easily get bumped to off in a crash.
