Futaba charger on JR XS3

Futaba charger on JR XS3
I have a futaba transmitter charger and I would like to use it with my new jr xs3. After reading the manual it says that only JR's chargers may be used. I am pretty sure that the only difference is that the polarities are switched, can anyone confirm this?

Polarities are definitely switched.
Also i think the jack size is a little different. I have to stick a piece of wire in around the jack to get contact. I wish i could remember to pick up the JR jack while i'm at the lhs. It'd be a lot easier.
