its an fm radio and is better and less glitches than am and easier to adjust your car from the controller the choice is yours i got an airtronics mx-3 and it is is only $99.99 and it is a real upgrade i like it. so my point to you is it is not a neccessity but it would be worth it to me.

considering it comes with $60 worth of servos and you'll never need to buy another crystal, absolutely.

i have nitro but is it worth 200 bucks for those servos what kinda diffrence will i see

depends on what kinda car you have now.

the Z590M (used for steering) is just a flat out great general use steering servo. the Z270 is just a more reliable throttle/brake servo than what comes in 99% of RTR's.

well i ahev the cheep rtr hpi am system would it be better to get the whole system with both servos if i plan to raece in the next couple months

yeah.

if it's goin into a Savage, though, i'd recommend getting a JR Z650M steering servo too though

nope going into a rs4 nitro min and i think i will get it, but will i be bale to tell teh diffrence in throttle responce braking and steering

ok well i hopw my lhs has them for a good price its an ultimate hobbies and theyusually haev good prices.

What radio are we talking about, the jr xs3? If so, I got one recently and love it. Very wise investment and the servos are better than stock and no glitching.
