40mhz ?

Default 40mhz ?

hi

i got a 3pk and r113ip from ebay, which was sold from Hong Kong.
it has a 40mhz module in it
i see the ones for uk are 27 and 75 ?
whats with this 40 ? and will i need to get 27 or 75 to be able to race ?

In UK and the rest of Europe it's 27 and 40 mhz that is legal. It's illegal to run 75 mhz in Europe.

In US it's 27 and 75 mhz that is legal.

So if you have a 40 mhz you should be fine.

Next you should look at the specific feequency since most of the HK frequencies aren't allowed in Europe even though both are 40 mhz.

ok
the crystal in the module of the tx is Type 40-6 40.675 and has a circle with 51 in it.

You are lucky there. Channel 51 is legal in UK.

All the 27Mhz and 40Mhz frequenzies are available for both AM and FM

But remember an AM Radio on for instance channel 51, will block the same channel for FM use.

A metal transmitter case is also handy storing those spare crystals in the deluxe kit.
