Default Futaba PCM trouble...

Hello, T3PB transmitter, R113 reciever, S9350 steering servo and S3050 throttle servo. I plugged in a 6V 1400ma battery pack and it fried the wiring on the battery and switch harness... I hooked up a AA pack with a new switch and it was working fine.. Is 6volts too much for the reciever? could the reciever cause it to arc out?? I think it was the switch harness but am not sure. Also what happens is sometimes everything just stops working...no movement,no noise,no nothing. I suppose that can be the switch harness too but just want to find out if anyone else had any of these problems. I'm ready to throw my transmitter against a brick wall and go Spektrum.

No 6v is fine. I would be a bit worried if it does occasionally stops working. Try with the battery connected to the RX, could be a faulty switch.
