Not really in a three channel application. The 310 is a little smaller, which only matters with small vehicles. The novak is 5 channels, but if you only have a 3 channel radio, it makes no difference (except you can plug a transponder and other stuff into the extra channels)
The novak can be used by a Airtronics, JR, Futaba or Hitec Tx, where the JR is only used with JR and Airtronics, so the novak is a little more versatile.
