Default ***airtronics Blazer Radio Problems***

Okay guys,
Here is my problem. I just bought a new Airtronics Blazer system. It came with a airtronics 2 channel reciever and a standard servo. I already have the identical reciver in my truck (RC10 T3). I have a Novak Explorer II ESC and a standard airtronics servo in my truck. I went to program the ESC and it won't respond to the radio. I was told that I would have to put "Z" connectors on my ESC to plug into the reciever. I was then told that it doesn't matter what kind of connectors you have as long as the polarity is right. I have been to the Airtrinucs website to take a look at the "Z" connectors and it showed the black and red wires to be crossed on the . I've done that but it still does not work. But, my radio batts and my truck batt are pretty low on juice. Are these theories right, are they wrong or do they even apply? I have tested all my other equipment out on another reciver and radio ( a very old futaba radio and reciver) and it all works. Below I have attached the website that I went to at Airtronics. Thank guys!

You can just change the polarity on the ESC such that it complies with the polarity and order of the wires in Z format.

Also make sure that you "trim" the ESC connector to fit in the receiver properly. Easiest is to get the adaptor.

Question: does the servo which came with the blazer works with the tx/rx. If it does, you can follow the wire order and match with the ESC. It could be that the signal is in the wrong side.

Okay, here's the deal. My friend took my truck to the track on Saturday and he had another RCer look at it. All the guy had to do is put in my old airtronics reciever and it ran like a charm. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. I got it back today and now it won't respond to my radio, although, my radio batts are very low. I am going today to buy some rechargeable AA batts for the radio. I'll let you guys know tomorrow what happens. In the meantime, you guys got any suggestions? Thanks for the input DG2B, I appreciate it.

That is weird. Things I would look at is to make sure that your crystals number matches, frequency (27 or 75) between receiver and transmitter matches, and as you mentioned batteries for both tx and rx.

I have made mistake with crystal number mismatching before so thought I would mention.

If all those checks out, ask the other racer how s/he got it to work.
