Default orion lipo ?

purchased an orion lipo 48oo battery...the charger i have is a hobbico elite accu cylce charger,,,is this a good charger for this battery? i tried charging my battery but its taking forever...already been 69 minutes connected and charging,,,is this normal...any help please ? dont know much about these things..thanks ,,,vic

I have no experience with that charger. If you're charging at 4.8 amps (1C) it should take about an hour from discharged state. Charge at less and it will take more time. 2.4A should take around 2 hours.

With lipos, it is important to know what you're doing. Being overcharged, overdischarged, charged at too high a rate, or discharged at too high a rate can all destroy the battery and perhaps create a serious fire hazard.

Know your lipos before you use them. The battery forum is a good place to start reading.

sill dont know what im doing...charged lipo last night too about 2 hrs,,,,and reading came up with 3268mah...??????finished charged ,,,,did i do something wrong ?

It may not have been completely discharged down to cutoff. If you only used 3268 mah, then that's all the charger would put back in.

There's really no reason to discharge before charging. The only reason to discharge would be to check the capacity.
