Default Air MX-3s vs JR XS3

For approximately the same price these two synthesized radios are pretty close. Any pros or cons for either one? I'm leaning toward the Airtronics model but it appears that the 3rd channel is not as easy to reach with the left thumb. Is this right or not? All input welcome either way.

I have an XS-3 and a non-synth MX-3. I prefer the XS-3.

Yeah I don't care for the mx-3's 3rd channel location either, you end up taking your hand off the steering, which doesn't really matter becuase you really shouldn't be moving when going to reverse but it just feels different, I prefer my XS3. The XS3 has more useable features for racing, since you don't use the third channel, you can assign it a different function, you can't do that on the MX-3.

Gotta agree there. I use the grip button for emergency steering. Racing micros, i have my steering rate cranked down to about 65%. If i'm stuck, it's nice to be able to grab the button and have full steering to back out and get going again.
