Adapter for steering servo?
Hello,
I have a Futaba S3003 steering servo. I'd like to make it plug into my aristo-craft HiTec battery eliminator circuit (model HP2RNB75D, it's old). However, the Futaba plug won't fit. Does anyone know of an adapter type thing I could find to make this work? The terminology as to what "type" of plugs I have escapes me, so what I've looked for so far is confusing.
Might this work? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...6&I=LXH449&P=K
My BEC comes from a Aristo-craft HiTec Challenger 250 radio controller.
This is all for my vintage Associated RC10 1/0 scale buggy.
Thanks!

RE: Adapter for steering servo?
From what I know, you should be able to just file of the tab on the futaba connector, making it identical to the Hitec one.
That would be the fast, cheap and easy solution.

RE: Adapter for steering servo?
Just remember to check the polarity of the connectors.
I did this to get a cheap servo with Futaba connector to fit into a Graupner/JR receiver.
On My Nomadio Sensor that uses Futaba Connectors, I have servos with both Futaba J connectors and Universal Hitec Connectors without problems. (Beware of polarity though....)
On my Old Graupner/JR Receiver I did the filing of of a Futaba connector to get a servo to fit, as I did not want to wait 3-5 weeks for a new one.
