Default Spektrum DX3 Problems

So i bought the New Spektrum DX3 with 2 recievers Ohhh Ahhhh very nice radio.. And i install one reciever into my buggy and the other is for an up and coming project.. So i go to break in my buggy the other day and surprise surprise the reciever has a range oof about 20 feet.. but what is really odd is when i first installed the reciever the antenna came right out.. so i just put it back in and when reading the intsructions it said you can choose from either location to route the antenna so i thought it was normal.

But on closer inspection of the 2nd reciever the antenna seems to be attached some how. I heard from the LHS that there is a specific way on how to route the antennna with in the reciever is this true if so how ??

Also another thing that troubles me is that the reciever would have good range sometimes and poor range at other times any idea of why ?? Me and my dad also range cheacked the 2nd reciever and it seems to be fine. Thank again guys

Sounds like its broken inside the case. If so you will have to solder it back on or send it back for warranty. If you check out the Spektrum website they list a possible problem with antenna placement inside the receiver.

That's the transmitter module antenna in the picture, not a receiver.

Two receiver, one with broke antenna. Open the good one up and you have all the details on where to solder it back on.

BTW, what is the brass thing you mentioned ILIKE3D.

The only time I had a problem is when either the radio or the car batteries were low .

I just had the same thing happen to my spektrum dx3 receiver, the antenna popped out of the receiver. The system has only been used for about 5 tanks of fuel.I opened up the receiver to solder it back on,but I can't see any place in there as to where it was soldered on before.Could somebody please open theres up and take a pic showing where to solder the antenna wire back on?
