hey guys!! i just purchaced a Spectrum DSM Pro set-up for my M-11, and have been thinking about cutting the antenna to the 3.6 length to keep it under mt touring car body. my question is has anybody done this and what results have you experianced in range etc?

I use a 3.5 inch long antenna straw, heated with a lighter to keep a curve in it and wrap the rest of the wire around the end of the straw and secure with heat shrink tubing. You don`t have to cut the wire that way.

has anyone suffered from loss of range by using M11 and Spektrum Pro System..??

It happened to me today on my first outing with my brand new MTX-4 and M11. Do i have to use the original M11 antenna along with the Spektrum's..?? By the way, my car's antenna was sticking out of the car by at least 3.5 inches and the track's radius does not exceed 300ft..

i just used mine for the first time last weekend at out indoor carpet track with no problems. my antenna dosent come out of the body at all (i did the shrink wrap thing listed above) i havent tried any outdoor range with it, but alot of guys are using them at out offraod track with no problems, if you continue to have issues you may want to call or e-mail spetrum about that. your original antenna will not do anything for you now with the spectrum module. i actuailly did the mod that puts the spectrum antenna in the stock m11 losation which looks trick!
