Hi

What are the connectors on the React battery pack?
Where could I buy some of these connectors so I can make up some spare packs?

Is there any reason not to run the highest mAh cells I can fit in the space in the React?

Any update on the Mini Receiver?

Thanks Jeff

Well I just took the leap. My new React should be here by the end of the week. I am really looking forward to trying it out.

You won't be disappointed! I came from Spektrum and there is NO comparison at all! The React is faster, has more features, lighter, more comfortable to hold, etc. You will love it!

When you register, put this code in... http://www.nomadio.net/nrp/coupon.php?code=d7ccff17

After that you can use that same code through the Nomadio Web store and order a free temp sensor...

Hi

I need help to source a spare battery and a wall charger for my React.

Where can I buy a spare battery OR connector plug to make my own pack?
What are the specs required for a wall charger?

Where can you buy the correct connector so I can make up a lead to enable me to use one of my Chargers?

Thanks Jeff

Go here [link=https://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/main.asp?sid=784433&pgid=custompack]https://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/main.asp?sid=784433&pgid=custompack[/link]

You have to do the custom pack option, but here's what you want:

Step 1: 4 batteries

Step 2: SP2500AA

Step 3: Double Stick

Step 4: 22 gauge

Step 5: Male JST

Step 6: No

Price?? A mere $13.00!!! With shipping, WAY under $20.00

OK guys I am now part of the React family as I just ordered one new for $223 shipped. I am sure I will be on this thread quite a bit with questions and opinion on what I think of it.

My first question is what does it take to bond it to Spectrum Receivers? I will use the receiver that comes with it in my main racer but want to set it up with my other vehicles that have the Spectrum receivers in them.

First do Like I did. start by going and getting the manual. You will have to any way as to keep the cost down on the radio you have to go and DL the software and Manual Anyway. Here is the link to the manual [link=http://www.nomadio.net/software/react/UserManual.pdf]http://www.nomadio.net/software/react/UserManual.pdf[/link]

Then Most of your other questions Most likely have already been asked. Go and catch up and start reading On the Nomadio forum. I have found it a great help. [link=http://support.nomadio.net/index.php?sid=a7d01e109a2bb8a793e31a3c1286af41]http://support.nomadio.net/index.php?sid=a7d01e109a2bb8a793e31a3c1286af41[/link]

Good Luck and Enjoy. I just used mine for the first time this weekend. It worked GREAT it is just to bad the driver SUCKED.

Not saying it is not in one of the two places you pointed out but I have looked BEFORE posting the question and so far could not find the information about bonding a Spectrum receiver to the React TX. This is why I posted my question here! If you know where the information I am looking for is please point it out!

Sorry. didnt know if you had looked yet. I would just post the question in the React Only section. There are quite a few people there that I have seen posting that they are useing DSM recivers with the React. They just never said how other than running the latest Software release.

No problem as I all ways try to find the answer to my questions before posting. I all ready down loaded the desktop and the up dates to my computer even thaw my React will not be here for a couple more days. I did email Nomadio a few months back and they assured me I would be able to use my Spektrum receivers with it. Will do some more research and if I do not find what I am looking for I will post in the Nomadio forum.
Thanks

Question.
If I buy a used React and the registration name is somehow unable to be changed, (say an ebay seller blows me off on it, or a LHS doesn't know where it came from), can updates and such still be obtained via the website?

Why buy used when you can get them here NEW shipped when using the coupon on the home page for $229.99? These folks have GREAT service as well and you should have it in 2 to 4 days after you order it!

Finally got my React in hand here so I'll try to tell you what to do. With React on hit the menu button and scroll down to ADVANCED. Hit the + key and then scroll downt to TRANSCEIVER. Hit the + key and the select DSSS Beta. Hit the Menu key to back out to the Drive Screen. Hit MENU from the drive screen, then scroll down to MANAGE MODELS. Hit + key and scroll down to REBIND. Hit + key to select rebind. It may ask if you want to release a transceiver.....say yes and the the React will begin searching for new transceiver. Hold the bind button down on your Spek receiver and the React should connect

Congrats 46U on going Nomadio! You will really like it and you definately WILL notice a difference in speed between your main racer and the spektrum receiver equipped rides you have! Also, not sure if you have ever had a glitch with the spektrum, but you can say bye bye to those nasty things with the Nomadio! The pit timers and lap timers are nice too (especially since you race). Good luck!

I have to admit other then the spring on the steering wheel breaking I have not had a problem with my Spectrum DX3, which I have had for over a year. I have MANY hours on it! Never had a glitch even when taking the glow plug starter on or off. The biggest problem I have with it is the lack of functions and my driving can use all the help it can get. I thought about the DX3R but it does not offer as much as the React. The RC vehicles I will be running the Spektrum RX in I do not race much as I am so tied up with my buggy. I am sure sooner or later I will up grade the RX in one or two of them but for now will at least be able to use the React TX with them. Will post my thoughts in a couple of months on my React.

I pulled a total 180. After reading all 14 pages of this thread, I finally made up my mind to purchase the Nomadio React. This wasn't easy, as I've had my eye on the Spektrum DX3R for the past few weeks. I have to be honest about one thing, the physical looks of the React made me second guess myself a few times. I even went as far as describing it to my wife as looking like some kind of star trek taser with a wheel on the side. But what it really came down to for me was specs. I am a technical kind of guy and feel I can deal with it's looks if it performs as advertised. I'm hoping this radio is as good as they says it is.

You will like the radio features and an extra bonus is its light (great for those long mains)

The only negative is the screen size... its small (but I guess you shouldnt be looking at the screen when your suppose to be driving!

Later!
