I am so glade it seems to be working and hope all is well. If you had a problem before I bought a new radio I would send it back and have it fixed which would be cheaper then a new radio. Have you registered it on line yet? If not do it before July 31st and here is a coupon for a free temperature sensor.

i opened up the react after talking to the ppl at nomadio who informed me that my warranty was voided and noticed that two transisitors on the main board was fried.
does anyone know where i can source these parts. its a surface mounted transistor and the number on it is 332 thats all i have in terms of the part that is burnt. i have little knowledge on electrical components and would appreciate some help in getting this fixed as the ppl at nomadio told me that they have no spare boards that i can purchase from them so i may have to find the transistor if i am ever to have the react working again.
thanks..

I have found out most radio companies do not sell parts and you have to send them in to get them fixed. Did you ask what they think it would cost to fix? Sorry if you had the battery in wrong is not there fault and I am sorry to hear about your problem. Did you try taking it to a place that repairs TV’s and stereos? Of how about a electronic supply house?

My Trasceiver took a crap during the main on Sunday. Spent All Day monday and Tuesday coresponding with Support trying to figure out how to get a replacment transceiver before This Friday. Our track is sponsoring a big race and I dont want to miss it. Kinda Pisses me off I had to spend 100 bucks and order one online 2 day deliver so that I would have one. Support is out of trasceivers so sending mine it will be atleast 2-3weeks.

I understand your pain this is why I not only keep all most enough parts to just about build anther buggy but a spare TX and RX as you never know what is going to happen. You never can have to many parts radio or other wise! Yes I think this is BS as I was told before buying my React that turn around for repairs would be quick and looks like I might have been mislead! Keep us posted on what happens.
As many know I did not get even a whole quart of fuel on my NEW React before the steering messed up. Since I was going to be out of town while it was being repaired and sent back I was assured they would call on my cell phone and send me and email so I could make sure someone keep an eye open for it. Well thank goodness I called them as it was shipped and no one I mean no one called or emailed me. This is a poor way to do business and being I run at many tracks all over I talk to a lot of people.
Then if you notice on there help forums on there web site if some one list a problem send you and email to contact support and delete your post. What I do not like about this is it does not give the consumer an idea on what problems they have. My full opinion is not made up yet till I see how it holds up but I do like the radio if I do not have any more problems.

Yeah I have enough parts to rebuild my whole buggy if needed at the track. I just got the radio. I do have my old FM but it is not DSM and I really do not want to have to go back and reset it up for my Digital servos. I would have been cheaper but I really like my React. I do not really blame them about how long it is going to take. Support was up front with the fact that they had the V2s on order but would not be in for some time.
So this will give me the spare RX I needed now. If something happens with my React that is not to much of an issue as my Dad comes to the track with his Truggy for my Son to drive just got a React also so I could always quicly bind to his React. Since he just got his React he doesnt have a spare RX either so ordering this new Trasceiver between the 2 of us we will atleast have a spare now.

46U: The ppl at nomadio have no way of repairing any thing damaged on the board, they only replaced damaged radios with new ones most of the time once it is under warranty. i realise that it it not their fault and sont have to honor any replacement where im concerned. i did take it to my friend who repairs electronics and it is two transistors with the number 332 on them that is burnt. my problem is to source the part, thats why i cam here to find anyone with the knowledge of these things that might know exactly what im looking for and where to find it.
i am also going back to his shop to see if i find one on an old circuit board lying around.
ill keep you guys posted on the results.

Just went through the whole thread, but didn't see an answer to a couple questions I have about this radio:
- I saw that the transmitter has an internal antenna. Is this a full wave (~5") antenna? Can I get an external full-wave antenna for the transmitter, and would that increase the range?
- Does the React use a dual antenna diversity system? Does it need it? Are people experiencing dead spots?
- What is the max battery voltage that the transceiver can handle? If I build a 7.4V Li-Ion pack (which can hit 8.2V full charge), can I plug it straight into the transceiver or do I need a voltage regulator to bring it down to 6.0V? I saw a post earlier by Karlton saying it could handle 20V, but just want to make sure. And, BTW, do I have to check the voltage capability of the servo as well, or does the Nomadio transceiver regulate the voltage to the servos?
- Can the Nomadio voltage sensor read voltages up to ~9V?
Thanks for any help!

I wish I could help you more but so far I have not had a problem with range and my I ask why you want to run more volts in your TX. I do have a 6 volt 2500 MAh battery I run that cost about $15 shipped. If you get a React here is a coupon to get a free temperature sensor.

kkant - I cannot imagine you need more range, but who knows? As far as the battery voltage goes, I believe it will NOT handle that high a voltage without a BEC regulator thingy...go to the Nomadio home page and go to the forums there and ask these questions...they will get you straight!

Sorry need to pay more attention! Yes I can understand more voltage on the RX to help with the servos but with all the high torque servos they have now is not really necessary. I have been running 2.4 GHz for over a year now and will NEVER go back. First the Spektrum and now the React. Do you have your system yet?

It comes with a 4 cell AA battery pack and it is rechargeable. Yes it has a charging jack. Get a free temperature sensor by using this coupon if you get a React when you register.
