hi guys,i have a spektrum in my electric losi truck and was told i didnt need the antenna comming through the roof and that i could just coil it and secure it to the chassis.is what im hearing correct?i have a graphite chassic if it makes any difference..

With ANY R/C sytem if you can get the antenna up and away from the car the better.

All the Spektrum antennas I have seen are only a couple inches long, not enough to stick out of any body...

for closed coarse racing you might not need to. But it does shorten your range. I have the M11 with the specktrum and my buggy and truggy
both have about a 3 inch antenna sticking out of the radio box
