First off.... How much do you have to spend?
For steering I would go with the new Hitec HS-985MG. $70
For throttle/brake I would go with the Hitec HS-625MG. $40
FM is much better than AM but 2.4ghz is way better than all of them... If your on a budget I would go for the XS3 Pro (FM Synth) from for $150 or If you have a bit more to spend I would pick the Nomadio React ($260 at its 2.4ghz, has 4 channel's, no bulky antenna, rechargable battery its the fastest radio system out on the market and its backed by great customer service!!!
BTW the XS3 Pro comes with 2 servo's and they might be decent enough to work for ya.
If you have any questions just PM me.
Thanks, James

I've been bashing Futaba 3305's in my MGT pretty much since I got it. If u are just bashin these are great servos. Metal geared and very durable. Also high torque. Not the fastest servos but at $40 each or less they,er a great deal! As for radios... again if your just bashin your radio should be fine. It'll glitch a little here and there but mine worked well while I was usin it. If you decide to race, a 2.4 ghz radio makes things so much easier. I recently nabbed a Nomadio React and I love it. It is a fast radio. Makes those 3305 servos I mentioned twice as fast! My MGT is like a whole new truck! It is expensive though. No matter what radio you have you still gotta have either failsafe or throttle return spring just in case. They can all fail, and sooner or later they all will. By the way are u sure its your servo that is causing your problem? There are drive pins inside the MGT tranny that can snap and cause you to lose forward and/or reverse. good luck and If it makes you feel any better I have several RC's and the only one that even has reverse is the MGT. Forward is definitely what counts post u later!
