RE: li-po for reciever and trans???
I build my own from LiIon cells and use either a regulator ( to get two, 7.4v cells down to 4.8v) OR a voltage multiplier ( to get a single cell 3.7 volts boosted to 4.8v). LiIon because LiPo are dangerous if their voltage gets too low! LiIon are very forgiving. I've never used up
all the capacity during a single day outing.
You can get Li Ion cells - http://www.batteryspace.com/index.as...S&Category=489
You can get regulators/multipliers - http://www.dimensionengineering.com/AnyVoltMicro.htm
If you don't understand this, seek someone in your club who can explain these functions. I think there may be some company that
sells Rx LiXX packs, but I haven't found one. On the other hand, I know there are companies selling liXX Tx packs (http://home.comcast.net/~truerc/read.../readypack.htm). ((XX is either Ion or Po)).
Good luck!
