I'm new to the RC scene and I just got a Street RC from a friend of mines with no Radio. I'm not sure what Futaba Radio will be compatible with the receiver that came with my RC.
Receiver: Futaba R123F 75 MhZ 3 Channel Micro Receiver that
came with an Rx66 Type 72-7, 75.510 Crystal.
Do crystals for the Radio and Receiver need to match, if so, how can you tell that they are compatible?
I have another crystal that says Rx66 also but don't know if its for a Radio or Receiver. It looks really similar to the Receiver crystal but it just says Rx66.
If I purchase a Futaba Radio and Receiver, and placed the second Receiver on another RC, would I be able to have control over two RC with one Radio?
If so how would I be able to do it? Would it just be a matter of swapping crystals in the Radio?

Bino - welcome to the board and hobby.
Former Island boy myself from Honolulu.
The 75mhz receiver (Futaba R123F) you have should work with other radio in the same frequency. It must be FM radio as the receiver is FM.
Both crystal for the receiver (RX) and transmitter (TX) must be the same. This is the connection between the RX and TX.
RX66 crystal is for the receiver (RX) on channel 66
If you buy a radio, FM 75mhz, you will be able to use the receiver you have now.
Hope this helps.
Aloha.

Mahalos for the input.
How can you tell if the crystal is an RX or a TX?
Is there anything on the crystals that tell you this?
