Default Futaba Attack battery duration and range ?

Hi I was wondering how long the receiver and the transmitter can function before the totally drain their battery.
The receiver has 5 Xcells of 1.2V 500mAh and the transmitter is a 8X 800mAh. On the Futaba site i have found a PDF but the don't talk about the averege range nore the batt capacity .... duration ...
Is it necessary to discharge all the batteries if you don't use them for a coulple of weeks/days/ ??
Can any one tell me what the servo's eat during operation .. it's a Robbe S9209.
