RE: Spektrum DX2.0 range=50 yards ish (arrgh!)
I got my radio back from Horizon, they swapped it with a new unit... the range is better, but this radio cuts out, or glitches... it will just loose all signal for like 3 seconds, then pick back up again.. ***? I am so getting rid of this spektrum trash and never giving them my $ again.. I swear this has been expensive and I have spend so much time testing different wiring setups in my cars, etc.. not to mention the 3 weeks it took to get my friggin radio back.. anyways.. Futaba here I come.

I have two DX 2.0's and have no problems, I guess I do not understand wanting to drive a car that is barley visible?? I know of no track that has a distance of over 50 ft. let alone 50 yards! Spektrum's product support has been very good, however several Radio's DX6i and receivers have been rushed to production and have had some problems, but Spektrum has always stood behind them. I would not use anything else.

well ........... let me say ,im on my 3rd spectrum system . first i had a 2.0 which had a small problem with the reciever twice as it would unbind itself, sent it back and they said all was ok with it. after that no real problems except occasionally it would develop a mind of its own. i eventually sold the radio to my cousin. then i bought a m8 with the spectrum module ........ no problems at all. i just recently bought the new dx3r. now this is a radio!! i have only tested it a little but im lovin it!

most of the time now a days you would say that brand x and brand y cant be far apart in quality and it is moe about fit and finish ,.But I have to say the problems keep on comeing with Spektrum ,I would think that after all the probs they would recal and make a better tx and rx ,but untill that happens it is worth it to pay a few bucks more and go futaba and you will have no problems .

Hi all,
I see it's been some time since any one has posted, not sure if everyone got their problems fixed or not, but figured I'd put my two cents in. I read some time ago that some of the spektrum receivers had issues with static build up which caused shortages, glitches, and dropped signals. This usually happened on the low to the ground on-road vehicles and carpet racers. When the bottom of the cars were grounded, the static charge would disharge, causing the glitch. As a precaution, I took a piece of thin compact adhesive foam on the magnitude of about 1 - 2 mm thick and placed it under my receiver box. Have had no issues of my receiver or transmitter ever losing connection. Hope this might help someone out there.
