Default Looking for an inexpensive DSM radio?

I'm looking to buy a easy and inexpensive DSM radio. The stuff from Spektrum is nice but I don't need multi-model memory and all that jazz. I see that Team Losi provides a DSM radio with some of the RTR cars. Anyone know anything about these? Are they proprietary to Losi servos and speed controllers or with they be compatible with other brands?

Thanks in advance.
