Hi im a newbi to r/c cars but i have been flying r/c planes for nearly 7 years now and i just purchased my first r/c car but it came without servos and a receiver!
Would i be able to put a couple of my futaba airplane servos and a futaba 5ch receiver in it? and do i need a high tourque steering servo or could i just use an normal one

What car / truck do you have? Some Monster Trucks...yes you would.
Make 300% sure you are NOT using an aircraft channel radio with that receiver. Last thing you wanna do is shoot down a plane.
Most smaller trucks a standard servo will be fine.

I dont know the laws in .au about frequency control but yes the servos and suck should work fine.

I would check someone about what channels are for ground use in the area and see if it can be converted over
