how high should a spektrum reciver antenna be

please tel me because i am buying one friday and racing friday so i want to get it perfect. i am racing an electric 1/10 scale touring car with a stock motor and a xxx-s on a tight track if that helps at all.

On my RC10gt and savage I use about 3 inches of anthena tube, the remaining of the cable is on the receiver box, both anthenas are inside of the body without problems.
