RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos

RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
Damn that thing is a beast!!!..Is that 1/5th scale? Hope to see some more vids of that in action..:D

RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
The First Video is the first start of the Engine.
The second video is the 2nd tank through the engine. That´s the break-in process. Today i was in rough terrain and the only thing i can say: Wow! This Monster is great! Great Engine Power, great handling! The Model is 1:6 scale. More Videos will follow the next weeks.......... hope the weather is going better! Greetings Patrick |
RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
man that engine sounds nice....

RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
You dont need to break-in gasoline engines. I mean do you break in your Weed Eater?, Chainsaw? Lawn mower? or any other 2-stroke gas engines?
Na wouldnt think so... But I wouldnt spend time breaking in a engine that doesnt need breaking in...but rather taking it slow with it. Thats a better term to put it. |
RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
It doesn't matter what the engine runs on, it is still a two stroke and needs time for the piston and sleeve to wear in.
|
RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
So moto...would you sit around for your Weed Eater to idle through a full tank of gas? Or have your lawn mower on 'low' power while running over some grass? Or giving your chainsaw 1/4 quick throttles?
I know 2-strokes all need wearing in but realistically you dont really need to do that with the big gasonline motors. But just take it slow... Nitro engines are much different (dont know why)...but they just are. Cause there gay and worthless. |
RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
look...for one this is a very high performance engine, under much more load/stress, running much faster and different than say a chainsaw, or weedeater. ideally YES it WOULD be best if you felt like breaking in a chainsaw. it would run best and last longest. but they arent required to do the same things these engines are and arent expected to last very long anyway. so thats why its not normally done. but if you were meticulous about it enough you could break-in your lawnmower/snowblower/weedeater/chainsaw/tractor/etc

RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
How long does it take to go through a tank of gas with one of these suckers?
|
RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
i believe itll run for like 40 mins[X(]
|
RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
No need to break in the gas engines, I have one 1/5 buggy with zenoah engine.
Just run it under 50% throttle in the first tank, this is what zenoah told me. In the manual there is nothing about it. Why do you start with chock ? I wonder how it start with it, if I will pull the pull-start with chock more then one time I will flood the engine. My method (like zenoah wrote): 1.Close chock 2.Pull the pull start quick only one time, give one quick and long pull. 3.Open chock, pull quick the pull start, it should start. This is how I do,my zenoah start every time on the first pull after chock, I can't start it with chock. It also depend on the condition of the plug, I'm running denso u20fsr-u, hotter and better for 2 stroke, start every time and won't fail. I used to run 1:25 mixture, but now after 20-25 tanks, I'm running 1:33. |
RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
I can drive with one tank about 50 minutes.
The engine starts very easily. Choke on...... Pull ..... choke off...... one pull and the engine is running. It is a zenoah GS260 engine. |
RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
dude!
that thing is awesome! (kinda looks a bit like a savage though...) I say what Zonda says: if you're running a lawnmower or the such, it won't HURT to break it in, but it's not exactly necessary, for the fact that they're not high-performance engines; but they could be... My go-cart runs alot better than my friends', and I was the only one who was patient enough to let it idle and run it half throttle for a couple tanks. when are we gonna see some jumps and racing? |

RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
HEY! I just got my FG BigFoot. Did you put foam inserts in the tires? Mine didn't come with any.
I was thinking aboutmaking some. |
RE: FG Big Foot - My first Videos
There is someone who sells foam inserts (don't know what company), but you do not need them. Glue your tires on and make sure they don't leak air around the rim. Then, drill a small hole on the inside of the rim or in the middle of the tire, so that air can escape or they will bounce like balloons. My holes are in the tire so that I can easily squeeze out any water that gets inside. :D
Good Luck! |
