Default OLD and RARE BlueBird Silve Arrow Buggy 4 stroke build

Just thought Id share some pics of actually two older chain buggies.

My plans for one were to do a 4 stroke build rigged with a 3 speed and with the other I wanted to restore to stock specs. Instead I used one of the buggies as parts donor for the 4 stroke build for a couple of pieces of hardware.

So now I have a fully built roller Just trying out different ways to mount the engine as it is a huge OS FL 70 4 stroke .70 cubic inches (11.5 cubic centimeters) compared to the puny and tired OS Max .21 cu in engine it came with.

Side View on how hopefully the engine shall sit.

Another view

Engine, spur, and 4wd chain

Alot of adjusment was needed to fit the engine. The spur gear support was modified and shortened and holes were made into the chassis to attach the aluminum plate engine mount

The rear differential

Spur gear.

Chassis with front suspension setup, rear trailing arms and rear differential bulkhead

Roll cage semi polished up.

Picture of the rear of one of the buggies when I first bought it.

Under Side

Size comparison with a magnum xl 70 4 stroke

One of the buggies fresh from a trade

Roll cage opened up. Very neat feature.

Any thoughts, comments, opinions, are welcomed!

Looks great! I love looking at the old stuff. I never heard of the BlueBird brand. What year was the vehicle made? It reminds me a Kyosho Vanning that I used to drool over when looking through Tower Hobbies yearbook back in the day.

Bluebird did make a very similar model like vanning but not quite a clone by the name Conqueror.

There's also a very similar model like mine called the Athena.

Of course I am not 100% sure on this as I've only read almost non existent info on these. I've even contacted Bluebird (now a servo making company) president but the language barrier was a problem when communicating
