I guess my 'Box thread is kind of becoming the unofficial official Lunchbox thread?!

Guess so!

I like the bright yellow!

Hm, if I paint it white I might lose it in the snow.

I like the yellow

I am thinking about doing one in silver....

If you are gonna bash it hard, you might want to consider one of these..

Too late for that... I unleashed the lady on the lunchbox. Lets just say the shell has seen better days.

She was having a blast driving it in reverse though... I guess it was more natural for her in the steering. I offered to make some adjustments, but you know how that goes... To much giggling and such.

LOL, whats a little snow gonna do to it?

I don't plan on driving it hard; well, hard on pavement.

Thats the stampede's job.

I already have 10+ shells for the stampede.

But thanks for the link though.

I want to get a Parma lexan body to bash around This baby brings me so many memories back in the old day when i used to live In Ct. Oh boy, Everyone at the hobbyshop yesterday was like: getting old memories? Let the fun beggin. I have my room mate hooked to. He might get one soon to. Posting pics is easy... when you are posting, you will see below a "Click here to upload images and files".. and as long as your picture files are not too large (like less than 3MB), you will be able to attach the pic..

Good luck!!

NICE.. looking forward to the pics! I do, however, highly recommend you doing the ballbearing as soon as possible.. you don't want the transmission inside to get all sloppy...

Mine has ballbearings from the get go.. even after I put the brushless power abuse through it, it is still no problem.. it is critical!!

Looks like a great addition to your exiting collection!!

Since it looks like you are plenty expeirenced w/ R/C, I won't keep on preaching the basic like ballbearings... I am sure you know that's something you want to get!

Well i been on and off the hobby for years. Im from out of the country and its kinda hard to find good hobby shops that carry all you might want. I still have a few vintage tamiyas in my main land. I might have those shipped here. a Blackfoot, Monster beetle and a Subaru Brat. Alot of spare parts and things to mess around with. I want to have my mom send me my aluminum wheels to put them on the box but I will wait till I find a job. Im hoping that the aftermarket goes balls out this time as it did in the late 80's early 90's with Tamiya products. I will keep you guys posted of any problems and hoop-ups I do to this puppy.

I don't have the TEU-101 instruction with me, so I won't be of much help, but make sure that you calibrate it correctly (initial setup). But they are all similar.. like adjust your EPA to 100%, turn off ABS brake (if your radio has them), let it a neutral, then hold the button for a few seconds, then full throttle, then hit the button, then full brake (reverse), hit the button, and you are done...

That's not exact, but that's typical ESC setup.. some ESC does not require any setup (like those LRP AI..) just plug in and play..

Do try to go online and download TEU-101 ESC manual....

I did all that twice and it ran fine trew 2 batteries and then it started doing this. Ive been on it all day. I swapped the speed control from my dad's t4 and it runs fine. Im going to guess is the TEU-101bk gone bad. I will have to see what the website tells me before i call them. I have a spare speed control from my t4 but i think the thing is bad. I took it off the t4 cuz i got a good deal on something else. When i hooked the LRP ai to the lunchi I could smell like burning real fast so un did everything. Im pissed now[:@] Will see what these sites tell me and how much LRP will charge for repair. This sucks, having a new toy and not being able to play with it

Man.. what's up with that?! 2 ESC gone bad on the Lunchbox?! Nothing should be binding on the simple drivetrain.. maybe you should remove the motor and just spin the tires to see if they free spins easily...

I have not yet had a TEU-101 ESC gone bad on me..

My buddy even abuse it by putting a 23T motor on it, on a 4WD car no less, and it still handles it!! So I don't know what's up with yours!

Good luck!
