nice looking rides, someone is a Japanese sports car fan! you are right about the one-way, it makes the front extremely light under braking, and i am sure its a major factor for my recent outdrive bending incident.. [&:]

i do like the Skyline. one of my favs. and that was my first custom paint job. metallic black and blue.
i am trying to find a regular front differential for the ta03, but they are hard to find, even on ebay.
thanks for the props

TA-03 diffs are a plenty.. PM sent..
i think you can also use the Manta Ray ball diff (Tamiya 53070) its both cheaper and easier to find..
here's a link for the manual in PDF form, its useful for parts numbers.. if they come up in a weird script, refresh the page and it sorts it out.

lee, thanks a ton.
i will have to get the new diff soon. seems like its pretty cheap. in the meantime i will def. improve my skills with the free running front wheels.

RE: Lee's vintage TA-03 R S TRF build thread
i just ordered these from tower hobbies.
i needed some TRF decals for my new body
and i got the Altezza body for it. i like the paint job of my Skyline, but i could not get it to fit right. tamiya seems to make better fitted bodies than HPI....[:-][:-][:-]
they also have the ball diff, but i am going to have to wait two weeks for the next paycheck. it'll be hard to justify buying that to the GF when we have to save money for plane tickets to my sisters wedding.[:'(]
any ideas on paint schemes??

i think i'm right in saying Tamiya released the Altezza kit ages ago, though i'm not sure what paintjob it had. Tamiya does make the best bodies (most realistic, pre drilled, etc). i am a big fan of single colour paintjobs myself..

i was able to get this from tower, it was originally for the ta04R chassis. i think tamiya came out with in 2001. (I remember when the year 2000 was a dream)
i am thinking flat black will make it look like the real monster.
but i am a fan of bright orange. I'll get all the pics up soon.

Lee- Here's my TA03's! After a long wait, these are the cars which have taught me what I know about this chassis. I prefer the TA03R atm, as it seems to handle better. I will adjust the suspension setup on the TA03F, or it'll always handle like a pig!

RE: Lee's vintage TA-03 R S TRF build thread
seems the TRF could make a shelf queen yet.. i have this shell on the way with the H parts (rear wing and mirrors) plus the decal sheet, the decal's alone were over £10! (20$!) the wheels are also in my sights!
also with regards the snow tyres/wheels, i have some spare body mounts which i could fix in place of the standard one's (to raise body height/tyre clearance) whenever we have snow.
