Wow lucky! Given an RC, that's great, I hope to have that happen to be one day

Yeah I have kind of an RC Nerd, Real Car Nerd reputation going on at work... If it rolls all questions ,concerns etc end up coming to me...

Yeah that is still super lucky though. To be given a Brat... Well that's just to awesome. I'm not the jealous type, but I'm feeling something approaching envy over this.

The only thing it needs is brushless. [sm=idea.gif]

Plus a lot of spare bevel/spider gears to back up that brushless system.

lol... I was joking. Everyone always suggests brushless for everything. I'm sure it would be okay for a pack or two, but I wouldn't run it for an extended period.

Guys. It's been close to 2 yrs since I started this thread. I've kinda of gotten away from RC due to a number of other things in my life. I was looking at this kit sitting on the shelf and I think it's time I get started.

I have commitments this weekend but I'm looking forward to getting this build moving next week. To all those that were looking forward to this build. I'm sorry to keep you waiting.

I am still planning to build. I've been crazy busy with work and Real cars so I haven't had much time for rc lately.

There's always time for RC cars, especially this one!
I was happy to hear your comment about the lexan brat body fitting on a stampede. The search is on!

No biggie,I've many projects sitting on the backburner for the past 5yrs. Funny thing, I just seen the movie "The Manhattan Project" with John Lithgow from the '80's on Netflix today. I havent seen that movie SINCE the '80's(!) and forgot that the Tamiya Subaru Brat was used in it by some kid to steal plutonium,,,hmm,,,. It kinda made me want to purchase the Subaru kit that OF COURSE will probably sit on the backburner FOREVER also,,,ohwell,,,all's fun .

I just watched the Manhattan Project today after seeing Blkft1 's post. Kinda cheesy, but weren't they all. I couldn't really see the chassis that well, but it looked to have Frog wheels and tires on it.
I'm also a VW nut and immediately recognized what Paul used for the arming key.
