Vintage RC Car / Truck Picture Thread

Ok- Every other section has a Picture thread so why not one here.
Lets keep it simple. Just Pics with a brief description of the car. Lets keep the conversations to a min.
Any car or truck as long as it falls into the Vintage category.
I know most of you have seen these before but I'll post a couple to get us going.
Here are my MRC Cars and Trucks.
MRC Baja King. Novak HV-Maxx 4400 on a pair of 2S Lipos. Only change from stock is a set of E-Maxx tires on the rear and 80wt oil in the shocks.

Thunder King. E-Maxx running gear, Proline rubber, 80 wt in the shocks.

Another Thunder King. E-Savage running gear, HPI rubber, 80 wt in the shocks. Custom upper chassis plate.

Desert Thunder. The buggy version of the two trucks above. 100% all stock. Need to find a wing.

Couple to keep up going.
My pair of falcons. The Blue car was bought from a member here on the forums and it near perfect. I'm currently restoring it and it will be my shelf queen. The red car is a runner. It's in good shape but would need too much work to make it correct.

Tamiya Fox. Need to get an updated pic of this car. Did a bit of work over the winter. Added an XL5 ESC and 19T motor. Stripped and painted the wheels. Was too far gone to restore so this will be a runner.

More to come later.

Here's one you just don't see too often, Kyosho Raider ARR. When I got it it had never been run. The ESC was messed up during assembly and the original over never got it fixed. Good thing. This thing was seriously fragile and wouldn't take a hit. After owning it for a few years and having to repair it after almost every run i let it go to a new home.

Since someone posted an old RC10 here's mine. It's an RC10 CE. Had it since new. That's the original body. Been on the shelf for 10+ yrs.

Here's one for you...
It's a 1981 Radio Shack Dune Buggy - the first one with proportional steering.
I posted with another post for more info, but looking for an other one if anyone knows of one.

Here is my Tamiya Bruiser. I have had this truck since 1988. I just recently started to run it again it is a great trail rig! I have replaced all the original components with parts from RC4WD which makes it a better handling the trails. I did keep all the original parts incase I decide to put it back to original.
1 Great Truck!!!

This is the past picture I took of my two Kyosho buggies before I packed them up and sent them to their new owner.
The one on the left is a Kyosho Ultima (1986) and the one on the right is a Kyosho Turbo Optima (1987).
I'm now looking for a modern replacement that has the same good looks as the old buggies. I should have vacuum formed the Turbo Optima body before I said goodbye.

Guys, can you help me identify this vintage nitro kit?
It's modelled after the Ferrari 312T3 and probably circa late 70's to early 80's.
Had this for quite a while and just wanted to know the manufacturer and other relevant details.
It's powered by an ENYA .09 motor, no shocks, no bearings, foam tires on rigid alloy rims, hard plastic body.
I painted it red back then but never got to run it. Still looking for the motor mount and exhaust pipe.
Any help in identifying it much appreciated!

this is my circa 1989 Schumacher cat xl which won countless races. In about '04 I grafted losi xx4 suspension parts on it and gave it a second life. It still runs and more important is it's still fast. with brushless it can still hold it's own with the modern cars

Just finished my chassis restoration on my original RC 10. I've had it for 30 years and after a few months of scrounging parts, she finally ready for radio and battery. She was only about 40% complete when I started.loving that she's back together.

My Feedback: (57)

I got this off ebay pretty beat up. Differential was bad. Luckily I found all gears and parts I needed on Japanese auction sites. Put a $10 ESC with BEC and got to town.
Steering servo is 1986 Fuataba original (still working). Motor is original Mabuchi RS540. Galaxys were known to be very picky with motors, anything beyond stock would eat the idler gear right away.
BTW, I've been out from cars for 30 years. This was the first and only RC car I ever had....which I loved dearly until it was stolen from me. Now I get to race my son and have lots of fun.

Does the Kyosho Optima re release 2016 count as vintage?
Pretty much stock, except for the 2.2 wheels and Proline Bar Code tires, also added the side rail guard things.

That's funny lol. I still have my original Futaba servo and ESC in mine. The servo tested out fine but I haven't run her yet so I'm not sure about the ESC. Both are vintage mid 1980's.
