Kyosho Optima Mid Custom - Stripped Knuckle
 

Greetings, I've recently got bitten by the RC bug again and I managed to dig up my old Optima Mid Custom from who knows when. I was giving it a once over before spending any money on it to get it going and noticed that the threads on one of the king pin holes on the knuckle is stripped (knuckles appear to be some sort of aluminum or some alloy). The knuckles are pretty worn out and the bearing that are in there barely seat properly in them anymore so it creates a lot of play in front tires.

I'm thinking on just replacing the knuckles rather than try and make something work with my existing knuckles. I'm pretty sure the bearings are fine. Anyone know where I can find the parts? I searched around but I'm not sure what knuckles will actually fit on my car and I'm assuming that Kyosho used the same knuckles in many of their vehicles of that time.

Any pointers are definitely appreciated.

Oh and I hear they are making these cars again, do those new parts fit I wonder? I'm in Canada so not sure where I can order spare parts.
