Default Coroplast Gremlin?

There is no doubt the Gremlin is a winner design but where does someone find the plans and can we save money and use coroplast for the wings? Anyone done this successfully?

I did exactly that several years ago. It worked so well I made and sold about 25 of them locally. If you do a search on the SPAD sight you should find a sketch I submitted. I'll also dig around and see if I still have it somewhere.

http://rccombat.com/forum/topic.asp?...ms=grim,reaper

Check out this page. Tim Tong, aka The Grim Reaper designed the Sickle, which was a close copy of the Gremlin except in coro. It builds fast, flies well, and is a fun plane for weekend combat,,,or just faasast sport flying.

Tim hasn't been around the forums for a while, and I'm not sure his web site is still up. The Sickle plans were posted there at one time.

A post on the RCCA forum may turn him up. He's a full scale aeronautic engineer and a nice guy.

ps. The page above was found by a search for "grim reaper" in the RCCA forums. It might even work here in RCU.

Does anyone know where some normal plans are for the Gremlin? I figure I can just use that and substitute coroplast for the wing portion.

Have you looked at http://www.srfk.com/gremlin/gremlin_photos.pdf ? I'm building mine out of cheap insulation polystyrene (as a single not split wing ... I wonder if it will fly !

Go to Spadworld.net

I haven't seen Grim around in ages but there are plans and ideas for building many comparable planes. Things have been in sort of a slump for awhile both with coro and combat.

Great service & quality. This is the ONLY "original" & authorized Gremlin - all the others are knock-offs.

11 to 19%  adjust as you want, per your capability.  If you can stir sticks to get out of flat spins, closer to or maybe past 19%.  If it needs to recover itself, closer to 11.
