Is it true that the AMA is trying to put the kiebosh (sp??) on full contact??
Heard a rumor, that's all.

The AMA has requested input from participants of the full contact version of R/C combat.

At last report... full contact was being considered for banning, with the EPP foamie gliders having been essentially forgotten. All the input that the AMA is getting is from the RCCA, which really doesn't deal with slope combat.

The D-VIII VP, Sandy Frank, has asked for input from participants in the slope combat contests where collisions are the name of the game.

From the little that I've heard of those... I don't see a problem with it.

I do see a problem with purposeful mid-airs involving powered models, which typically have a much higher wing loading. However... all the mid-airs I've seen involving .40-.46 powered models fell well clear of the pilots line, due to the 500 ft/ci set-back used at any contest I've been to...
