Does anyone own a Corsair?
Hello:
I personally don't own a Corsair but I would like to own one in the not-so distant future. My question is how do they fly differently from AT-6's and P-51's? does the slanted wings make it a more maneuverable plane? Does take offs and landings differ? Any help would be appreciated. |

I have flown a Ziggs ,JDBAerotech and I now have 2 JK corsairs and all of them have flown nice .Awhole lot more stable than a mustang on landing etc not as snappy.Other planes in that size range can out turn you IE mustang /F190/Spitfire but they are not as stable .I fly mine with a worked on KB sportster.21, any size good .25 will pull the bird along fine .Buy one you will love the Bent Wing Bird.I use a JK corsair as a sport plane just for having fun at the field

JK Corsair
Hey Mr. Jones,
I too built a JK Aerotech Corsair, and loved it! It was fairly fast with an O.S. 25 FX and mousse can, its roll rate on recommended throws rivalled that of the most violent Sukhois (no exaggeration here), and she floated in for the easiest landings after I cut off the engine. The only negative comment I had was that the wing was a pain to build. I have heard that other Corsairs (Great Planes, Kyosho, Top-Flite) are rather unstable, but this little 1/12 scale model is extremely stable and tracks very well. -Dan |
Awesome!!!
I love those planes I wish I had gotten that over the trainer but I guess first things first. Corsairs are awesome!!! I also love the AT-6, P-51 and P-47's.
Thanks Dan for that tip, I heard the same thing about the Great planes Corsairs they are difficult to fly so you just confirmed it. I rather ask a whole bunch of people and get there opinions on it rather then just go with one persons opinion. One person can mess up an opinion but I would listen more if 50 people said the same thing. |

you might want to also ask in the warbirds section. The birds we talk about here are used in combat, and maybe different animals than what you are thinking about. Ours don't have landing gears, we hand launch and land in the grass on their bellys...
