1/12 combat wing washout

hey,

I'm building a 1/12 spitfire fighter. And the plan said i shoud build him with washout. When the glue was dry it had around the 13 mm washout at the backtip. I'm now think that would be bit to much. But it's my first fighter and i have no clue. Does anyone know if it is possible to fly with it or does i have to reduce it, and how to reduce it.

What type of construction is the wing?

Which kit/plans is it made from?

Ok, thanks.

13mm is a lot of twist. You could start by soaking the top and bottom sheeting with either Amonia (works best), Alcohol (better than water) or water (works ok) and twist in the opposite direction until the warp is out. Using a heat gun helps to speed the process by rapidly drying the wood.

Please, if you use Amonia, use it where you'll have plenty of fresh air because the stuff STINKS.
And, if using Alcohol, be extremely careful using a heat gun over it because it is flamable.
