same props in size acting different

Why same size props acting different

On my Enya 15 I can use a 7x4 to a 9x4 , prop, when I use a 9x4 master airscrew its power is steady and smooth, when I use a topflite wood 9x4 its sluggish and when I used a 9x4 grish it would bog down , whats the scoop on the same sizes not performing the same. email me if you want [email protected]

There are differences in the blade designs, making one prop load the engine more than another. When using the maximum size prop on an engine, this can be VERY noticeable. 9X4 is on the extreme max limit for a .15 under best case conditions... an 8X4 is a MUCH better prop for the engine.

I think it has more to do with the weight of the prop rather than the design... I ran an Enya .19 (same block as .15) on a 9x4 for 3 years without a problem and excellent performance... But I think you are loading that engine down a little too much... Perhaps you should try an APC 9x4 before you give up on 9" props.
