Good first combat plane

Hey guys
I am wondering if any body could refer me to a good cheap stable first combat plane.
Thanks:D

The answer to that depends entirely on what kind of combat you plan on flying.

I don't know where Canyon is, but there is actually a lot of combat in the north-TX area. The most common class there is SSC. There are a fair number of options for SSC planes.

But the best idea is usually to find someone else in your area who flys combat and seriously consider flying what they fly. That way, you can get help setting up the plane and getting the basics down.

Ditto, try to fly what the locals are flying. Personally it's hard to beat a spad to get rolling but the possibilities of planes grow everyday. After 2 years I'm now flying Tufflights and an Avenger 972. Carefull though, those first few events will be the longest 4 minutes of your life, but the most fun also.

Southwest737,
Log into www.texascombat.com and check out the technical section and the forums. These are all Texas fliers and they are at the top of the leaderboard in friendliness, knowledge and helpfulness. Also check out www.georgiacombat.com for reviews on Open B, SSC, and Scale 2610 combat ships. Good luck.
