Battle Floyd?

Hey I'm new here but a couple years back I was flying a lot of rc combat and I had several battle floyds. I'm trying to get back into it but the battle floyd website isn't working anymore? I only get a porno. Anyways does anyone know if the company is still in business or how to contact the guy? I think his name was Joe.
Thanks
Michael

RE: Battle Floyd?

The name of the company kitting the Battle Floyd was Cutting Edge Products. His web site has been down for a while and I don't know if he is still in business.

The Battle Floyd was one of the best combat trainers on the market and a nice sport plane. If you can't find one, go with the Spad Flat Bat with 10"x48" wing and you'll still have a good flying combat trainer for under $15 that will fly competitively in club contests or SSC.

Not sure; our club uses them in our own Combat Leaque; we run 40 size engines, pull Crepe paper Streamers.

Here's a picture of mine. It's been knocked out of the sky once. I have an O.S. 15cva with a tuned pipe on it and it goes like a bat out of h#$#!!!

Nat,
I know most of all those guys in Conover that were flying the Battle Floyds. I supplied all the blue foam that they were cutting the kits from. Email me and i will help you out with finding that person and possibly get you some cores.

There's a NIB Battle Floyd on Ebay right now.

I cut through a couple of those with my Daggers. Like all the planes in that period, good flying airplanes, simple, tough and rugged. Outclassed by todays ships but that doesn't make them any less fun to fly and still a great plane if your club wants to do one design combat like the Gremlin guys do.

Hard to recognize where we came from sometimes isn't it?
