Georgia Combat Gorilla
Hey all, my dad and i are buying these Georgia Combat Gorilla Flying wings. u can see them at www.georgiacombat.com . Click on Glow Powered Combat, then on Open Class Airplane Designs. The Gorilla is on the bottom of the page. If anyone flies this plane, it would be much appreciated if you left pointers, flying experiences, or just to talk about combat in general. Thanks so much.

RE: Georgia Combat Gorilla
Unless you are building the plane yourself and just buying pieces, I don't think the Gorilla's are for sale.
Are you building the planes yourselves? |
RE: Georgia Combat Gorilla
Yup, were just buying the wing cores and then buying the rest of the supplies elsewhere.

anyone?

RE: Georgia Combat Gorilla
ORIGINAL: north dakota kid anyone? Follow the directions for the Gorilla is about all the pointers I can give on it. Since it is a scratch-built plane just about everyone that flies it has some variation added in, so any tips may depend on how they built theirs. If you ask more specific questions I'm sure people will be able to help. |
RE: Georgia Combat Gorilla
Combat in general, there are a lot of threads on here that cover a lot of stuff, so you might want to read through some of them.
I'm not sure, but I think the Fence Post designs are simular to the Gorilla. You might check with Mike Fredricks at http://www.hattrickrc.com/, he does a lot with fence posts, including some really well made CNC cut HDPE parts. I've only flown against Gorillias a couple of times, and I'm not quite sure what they had for wings. But I do recall their vertical stabs being a bit on the small side. So unless you really love the shape and appearance of the tail shown, you probably won't go wrong adding vertical area. |
